 Quarantining

I highly recommend adding a Quarantine Tank (QT) to your existing system so that all new arrivals have time to acclimate properly before being added to the Display Tank (DT). More importantly, all new potential inhabitants can potentially carry unwanted parasites and devastating diseases. A properly maintained and medicated QT can mean the difference between a catastrophic loss and a successful, beautiful and rewarding fish tank. More Information.
